About me

I am recently retired and loving having more time for gardening. I especially love to grow Daylilies and bearded irises although I don't have as many irises now. I love perennials and flowering shrubs and trees. I am fortunate to have a retired county extension agent/master gardener as my next door neighbor!!

Current project

I am trying to propagate many of my flowers and plants by stem cuttings. I have several crape myrtles and butterfly bushes potted up which I successfully rooted last year.

Type of gardener

I grow flowering shrubs, perennials, daylilies, bearded irises in my yard and do container gardening on my deck.
