About me

I have been gardening at home in upstate NY for about 25 years, mostly border gardens and tomatoes. I plant annuals from seed and strive to have good lawns, and am interested in lawn care. I enjoy growing roses and my favorite flowers are chrysanthemums, which I try to save every year with our long, cold winters. I look forward to exchanging ideas and learning from your membership.

Current project

Cleaning up my yard! I created a gardening website that's an Amazon store and affiliate site.

Hello FigTree, I'm so happy you approached me. I'm new to gardening forums and don't know how to get started. I wish I had a picture of myself, but I never went on the Internet socially until recently after ending my career in administration. I have to buy a digital camera, especially if I'm going to share pictures of my garden with the community. I live in Albany, NY and am an outdoor gardener. The only plants I have inside are 2 springeri and a geranium that I brought in for winter. I have cats, so I have to be careful. I have my first question. Thank you for providing the instructions. Cool Daisy- the best way to reach out is to ask a question or show pics of your garden for other gardeners to comment on. A digital camera is a must :) You can also post pictures just for yourself to track how your garden is doing throughout the season or changes from year to year... Let me know if you have any problems!
