About me

I garden mostly with perennials. Iris, peonies, cone flowers, daisies and hellebors. I am trying to incorporate grasses for interest in some of the gardens. I am not limited to my above list and do have a lot of other bulbs and plants. I love humming birds and butterflies....in spite of the heat I have a lot of both visiting my gardens. My interest in gardening comes from my Mother, and I tend to garden like she did. I prefer to be in the garden and never seem to tire of it.

Current project

Raised beds for my Iris collection. Installing a water fountain. Transplanting Lilac trees brought to GA. from my sisters garden in Mass. 3 years ago. I brought home 10 seedlings and they all survived and are doing well!

Type of gardener

seasonal

Favorite garden activity

Admiring the finished project. Taking cut flowers to my friends.
