description for "Winter Squash and Pumpkins: Cucurbita maxima 'Jarrahdale'"

Gorgeous coloring and unique tasting flesh characterize 'Jarrahdale' pumpkins. This exotic sounding variety hails from New Zealand and features slate blue colored flesh that is flattend and oblong. Beneath this skin is deep orange colored flesh that is sweet, dry and stringless with a complex yet pleasing taste. This showy pumpkin can reach up to 10 pounds at maturity and is an excellent keeper and is ideal for decorating and baking. Maturity in 100 days. Edited by S. Derr
