description for "Winter Squash and Pumpkins: Cucurbita maxima 'Boston Marrow'"

A unique and colorful winter squash is 'Boston Marrow'. This particular variety has been in the marketplace for over 100 years and features oddly shaped, orange/red fruit with finely grained yellow/orange flesh. This flesh can be baked much like a table squash or substituted for pie filling. Once baked, the flesh turns a bright orange color. Maturity in 110 days. Edited by S.Derr
