Whether its eaten like a zucchini or used ornamentally, 'Serpente di Sicilia' is a diverse gourd. This variety sports lime green colored skin on trumpet shaped fruit. At maturity, these fruit can reach up to three feet in length and can be harvested and eaten at 12 inches long. Their unique flavor has a delicate artichoke taste. This vigorous growing plant will require ample space and can be trellised. When mature, gourds can be used for decorating and displays. Maturity in 70-75 days. Edited by S. Derr
