description for "Cucumber: Cucumis sativus 'White Spine'"

Classic taste never goes out of style. First introduced back in the 1800's, this is one of the oldest Heirloom varieties. In fact, current varieties originated and were bred from this cucumber. Its medium green colored fruits are characterized by a lighter shade at its ends. An ideal selection for pickling or when young, can be eaten fresh. Harvest in late Spring. Maturity in 55-65 days.
