description for "Cucumber: Cucumis sativus 'Uzbekski'"

The appearance of anything brown in the garden, is usually not good news. However, for this cucumber, it is just the opposite. This unique variety is still relatively new to the US market and may take some getting used to. It features large, crisp brown fruit, reaching up to 8 inches in length. This odd selection retains its flavor and doesn't taste bitter, even at full maturity. Ideal to enjoy fresh out of the garden or stored for later use. Maturity in 60 days. Edited by S. Derr

History:

Seeds collected from the Mid East country of Uzbekistan.
