description for "Cowpeas: Vigna sinensis 'White Whippoorwill'"

Drought tolerant and adaptable to almost any soil, is this unique cowpea. A very hard to find variety, this plant will produce vines that can reach heights of up to five feet. Its long 8" green pods are tinged in purple, with its creamy white colored seeds inside. Ideal fresh or dried, it will add flavor and color to stir fries. Maturity in 85 days. Edited by S. Derr
