description for "Cowpeas: Vigna sinensis 'Six Week Purple Hull'"

The reasons are endless to plant and harvest this cowpea. A very easy to grow variety, it is both an early producing and high yielding. This semi- bush plant, sports purple colored pods with long white/cream peas, all with a distinct black eye. In the Mid-Atlantic and Southern regions, it can even be double cropped. Additionally, it is very disease resistant. Enjoy fresh as a snap or dried for later use. Maturity in 70 days. Edited by S.Derr
