Thriving in hot and humid climates, is this cowpea variety. Dating back to the late 1800's, this selection is well suited to the temperatures in the South. This easy to grow plant, features purple/gray colored peas in tender green pods. Pick when young and use as a snap or dry out for a shell pea. It is reported that each pod can contain up to 20 peas.
