description for "Cauliflower: Brassica oleracea botrytis 'Green Macerata'"

Patience is needed when planting and harvesting this cauliflower variety. This large green headed selection is a very slow grower but well worth the wait. The bracts on this vegetable are bound tightly together, thus preventing the opening of the heads. Once harvest time has arrived, the green coloring is retained even after cooking. Maturity in 190 days. Edited by S. Derr
