description for "Fruits and Nuts: Chinquapin, Georgia Native"

Sun or shade won't deter the attractiveness of this native bush. Reaching heights of up to 10 feet, its gorgeous green leaves turn a glowing yellow in Fall. The cooler season also finds its prickly seed husks, opening into halves, to reveal nuts that closely resemble Chestnuts. Hardy in zones 5-9. Edited by S. Derr
