description for "Grapes: Vitis labrusca 'Eastern Concord'"

One of the oldest cultivars in the US, is this grape variety. Known for its medium sized, blue/black colored fruit and textured green foliage, it creates interest wherever its planted. This old time favorite, can grow up to 25 feet per season and will need support. It is recommended to prune back hard in Winter to allow for another productive season. Enjoy its taste freshly eaten or juiced. Hardy in zones 4-8. Edited by S. Derr
