description for "Grapes: Vitis labrusca 'Black Spanish'"

Jams, juice or wine are all ideal uses for this grape. A medium sized variety, it features blackish/blue skin and flavorful juicy meat inside. With a taste similiar to Merlot or Cabernat, it is both disease resistant and well suited for Southern climates. Harvest begins August to September, cane pruning is recommended. Hardy in zones 6-10.
