description for "Pecans: Carya illinoinensis 'Moreland'"

With its dense canopy of leaves and nuts, this pecan tree is both attractive and productive. Reaching heights of at least 70 feet, this variety consistently yields delicious kernels, shrouded in thick brown shells. A very disease and pest resistant tree, it can produce up to 55 nuts per pound. It is recommended to plant "The Desirable Pecan Tree" as a suitable pollinator. Hardy in zones 6-9. Edited by S. Derr
