description for "Pecans: C. illinoinensis x C. ovata or C. laciniosa 'Hican'"

Pecans or wood are both valuable on this pecan tree. This hybrid cross between hickory and mahan pecan is a rare find. Its unique tasting nuts have a flavor somewhere between pecans and hickory flavor. Its wood is also valued in smoking meats. This variety will also pollinate well with any pecan or hickory tree variety. Hardy in zones 6-9. Edited by S.Derr
