description for "Pecans: Carya illinoinensis 'Elliott'"

Vigorous growth and light colored kernels characterize this pecan tree. These medium sized, delicious kernels are encased in medium thick shells. Besides its deep tap roots, the tree is also very resistant to scab and other leaf diseases. Additionally, it works well as a pollinator with other varieties. Hardy in zones 6-9. Edited by S. Derr

History:

Native to Northwest Florida
