description for "Lisianthus: Eustoma grandiflora 'Lisianthus F1 Vulcan Champagne'"

The spray-type, single-flowered Vulcan series, introduced last season, has two new colors, Champagne and Purple Picotee. The many, smaller flowers of this series have exceptionally thick petals, which improves the cut flowers ability to hold up during shipping, as well as longer vase life for the consumers. The new Purple Picotee has an extremely stable contrasting purple rim against the white background, and Champagne is a novel color that works well with many other floral colors for arrangements. All of the varieties in the series are Group II types. And, like the Arena series, they have been bred to resist producing shorter stems under long-day culture, and also to be less sensitive to rosetting in plug culture under warm conditions.
