description for "Carrots: Daucus carota 'Circus Circus Tricolor Mix'"

'Circus Circus Tricolor Mix' is a trio of colored carrots with creamy white, bright orange and a deep dark purple with orange centers. All three of the included varieties in 'Circus Circus Tricolor Mix' ('White Satin F1,' 'Mokum F1,' 'Purple Rain F1') are crisp, smooth and evenly cylindrical, growing to 8 inches long for a colorful harvest of festive roots. Their flavor is reliably sweet with a nice crunchy texture and you'll enjoy this mix over a long season. Cut all three into carrot sticks or slice/shred into salads for a good tasting party of colors. Let these baby carrots color up to orange before harvesting for best flavor. Pull as babies or let fully size up. Sautee or steam just until tender crisp and serve with a squeeze of fresh lemon or lime juice, sweet butter and fresh dill; or try buttered and glazed with a little maple syrup or honey. - edited by dtd pbcouchman
