description for "Zinnias: Zinnia 'Hot Crayon Mix'"

Right out of the crayon box of intense colors, this custom blend of zinnias in hot shades from Renee's Garden combines scarlet red, citrus orange and golden yellow varieties for bright summer borders and sizzling bouquets of gorgeous florist-quality zinnias. These award-winning Benary's giant zinnias offer you densely petaled, fully double flowers with outstanding garden performance. The well-branched 3 to 3 _ foot tall plants stand up well to both summer rain and heat, yielding armfuls of flowers for eye-catching, long-lasting arrangements. Zinnias grow readily in ordinary garden soil in full sun. For large and abundant flowers, thin before seedlings get crowded; adequate spacing and regular even watering help keep zinnias productive and free from mildew. Cut flowers with long stems well back into the plant to keep plants branching low and producing nicest flowers for summer long bouquets. - edited by dtd pbcouchman
