description for "Zinnias: Zinnia 'Granny's Bouquet Mix'"

'Granny's Bouquet Mix' is a specialized zinnia seed mixture from Renee's Garden with a carefree combination of hard-to-find varieties of different forms. Enjoy antique bicolor-splashed 'Carousel,' exotic needle-petaled 'Cactus,' retro-chartreuse ruffled 'Envy' and free-blooming starry-crested 'California Giant.' This charming assortment comes in all the radiant zinnia shades including orange, scarlet, cherry, violet, rose, salmon, cream, gold, yellow and chartreuse. These easy growing and rewarding old-fashioned favorites are perfect for long-blooming borders and centerpiece bouquets. Zinnias grow readily in ordinary garden soil in full sun. For large and abundant flowers, thin before seedlings get crowded; adequate spacing and regular even watering help keep zinnias productive and free from mildew. Cut flowers with long stems well back into the plant to keep plants branching low and producing nicest flowers for summer long bouquets. - edited by dtd pbcouchman
