Origanum hirtum 'Greek' is the spiciest and earliest producing variety of Oregano. It was known as Winter Marjoram in 18th century English gardens. Greek Oregano starts out small, but grows to be a good sized bush (2 x 4 ft.). It is a tender perennial with tiny flowers and an abundance of fragrant leaves for seasoning. Planting depth: 1/8 inch.
