Echinacea purpurea 'Purple Coneflower' is the easiest of the Echinaceas to grow. The rose-purple, daisy-like flowers have burnt orange centers. 'Purple Coneflower' blooms from July to September and makes a long-lasting cut flower. As a medicinal, it is said to stimulate growth of blood cells and enhance the immune system. 2-3 ft. plant with 3 in. flowers. Perennial. Planting depth: 1/4-1/2 inch. Days to germination: 10-14 days.
