Daucus Carota var. sativus 'Kurota Chantenay' is an attractive, rich orange, smooth-sided 5-8" carrot that tapers to a tip. Strong tops shade shoulders, are attractive in bunches, and are easy to pull for harvest. Bright-orange color of 'Kurota Chantenay' develops earlier in the season than other varieties, imparting sweet flavor even during summer. Planting depth: 1/8-3/8 inch. Days to germination: 6-18 days. 80-90 days to maturity.
