description for "Beets: Beta vulgaris, 'Moneta F-1'"

Beta vulgaris 'Moneta F-1' is a round, dark purple 3-4" beet. 'Moneta F-1' is a monogerm seed (beets can have as many as four embryos per "seed"). Precision seeding of these types eliminates the need for thinning and produce beautifully uniform roots. Great for fresh market, processing and storage. Flavorful, 14" tops. Planting depth: .5-.75 inch. Days to germination: 5-10 days. 60-65 days to maturity.
