description for "Zinnias: Zinnia elegans 'Zowie!™ Yellow Flame'"

'Zowie!™ Yellow Flame' zinnia produces blooms of magenta-orange centers with yellow tips. A 2006 All-American Selection Winner, this zinnia has an upright form and a vintage look. The blooms actually change color as they mature! It loves the heat and will add color interest and height to your summer garden. Zinnias are one of the easiest annuals to grow, and attract butterflies to the garden. They do require well-drained soil to prevent over-saturation, which can lead to powdery mildew. Space the plants generously to prevent overcrowding. --edited by dtd siegelgirl
