description for "Snapdragon: Antirrhinum majus 'Opus™ Lavender III'"

'Opus™ Lavender III' snapdragon produces fragrant, lavender on upright plants. The 'Opus' snapdragon series are great cut flowers and long day bloomers in areas with cool summers. Snapdragons are a particular favorite of children who like to pinch the tiny individual blossoms and make the "dragon mouth" open and close. Pinch back spent flowers to prolong bloom season and encourage fullness. Hardy in zones 6-10; otherwise grown as an annual. --edited by dtd siegelgirl

History:

The snapdragon is native to Europe and the Mediterranean.
