'La Bella Bronze' snapdragon produces fragrant, strong branching, 18"-22" inch plants with tightly spaced medium bronze florets. The medium height, stocky and compact plants are long flowering and excellent for beds, borders and containers. Flowers from early spring to fall, if spent flowerspikes are removed. Hardy in zones 8-11, otherwise grown as an annual. The 'La Bella' snapdragon series produce open "butterfly" type snaps on strong, well-branched 20 inch plants which bloom 2-3 weeks longer than traditional snapdragons. These are short-lived tender perennials (often used simply as annuals) that are great as cutflowers or to create a robust display of flowers in the garden. Grow in full sun and moist, well-drained, average soil that has organic matter and moisture. Pinch back spent flowers to prolong bloom season and encourage fullness. Place a dry, thick mulch over plants in colder climates to help them overwinter without damage. Enjoy these vigorous snapdragons massed in annual beds for glorious color. Snapdragons are self-sowing annual plants. They are cool-season annuals in nearly every available flower color, or bicolor, except blue and green. They bloom in spring and summer in relatively cool weather areas and in winter and spring in warm winter, hot summer areas.
