description for "Gingers: Zingiber mioga"

Zingiber mioga produces 1 foot long variegated leaves - creamy white and green. Plant is 3 feet tall and a mature clump will reach 5 feet wide. Established plants will bloom in late summer and fall. The yellow blooms are similar to orchids and produced near the ground. Zingiber mioga is a wonderful plant that adds texture to a shade garden.
