description for "Hardy Bog Plants: Thalia dealbata"

Two words are all that's needed to describe Thalia: elegant and impressive. The plant itself can reach more than 3-4 feet tall and forms a large clump with broad green foliage. Very impressive! Elegance enters when the plant produces its summer blooms. Wand-like panicles with tiny purple flowers stretch 1-5 feet over the foliage. Thalia grows best in full sun or light shade. It will tolerate constantly moist soil as well as water up to 12 inches over the plant crown. Edited by M.Tate
