Yucca glauca is a member of the agave family and is native to the U.S. in dry plains and sandhills. Blooms are greenish white and appear June - August. Leaves are 20 -30 inches long and evergreen. Also known as Soapweed Yucca because the root is used to make soap. Yucca glauca attracts butterflies.
