description for "Perennials: Fibigia clypeata"

Known more for its beautiful foliage, Fibigia is also a colorful and edible plant. Its velvety textured gray green leaves are off set by large clusters of flowers. These bold yellow blooms show color in mid Spring and continue through Summer. This adaptable perennial can thrive in a wide variety of soil types with very little maintenance. The new leaves can also be used in salads or as garnishments. Hardy in zones 5-8. Edited by S. Derr
