description for "Amaryllis: Hippeastrum 'Ludwig Dazzler'"
Large-flowering 'Ludwig Dazzler' has been conducting classical, large-flowering compositions since its blooming deput in 1957. Roll over, Beethoven! Scores of keyboard-ivory, 6-inch-wide blossoms--as many as 3 to 4 per flower stalk--bloom on 2 20-inch-tall stems. Plant one bulb for a spectacular solo performance, or for a variation on the theme, combine 'Ludwig Dazzler' with other amaryllis to create a flowering chord of contrasting colors. -- edited by dtd pbcouchman
