description for "Apples: Malus domestica 'GoldRush'"
'GoldRush' is a late season, dessert-quality apple is a perfect compliment to 'Red Fuji.' The spurred tree bears crisp apples with a tart, rich flavor after 1 to 2 months in refrigeration. Good keeper. Excellent for fresh eating, pies or baking. Highly resistant to apple scab and powdery mildew and moderately resistant to fire blight. Pollinate with 'Red Fuji,' 'Enterprise' or 'Starkspur Golden Delicious.' Ripens mid-to-late October in Zone 5. U.S. Plant Patent 9392. -- edited by dtd pbcouchman
