description for "Annuals: Angelonia angustifolia"

Angelonia, or angel mist, is newly popular today, but Curtis's Botanical magazine lists violet-flowered angelonia in 1824. This angelonia has violet purple flower spikes above handsome narrow foliage. It blooms continuously all summer until hard frost. Easy to grow in full sun, it is an outstanding selection. -- edited by dtd pbcouchman

History:

Angelonia angustifolia is native to Mexico and the West Indies.
