description for "Geraniums: Pelargonium 'Melody Red' (Tempo Series)"
'Melody Red' geranium has a pure scarlet semi-double blooms. Wide, steep leaves provide a strong background for the abundant medium large flowers. Flowers are held well above the foliage on plants with excellent basal branching. Very good heat tolerance, mounded growth habit, and very good garden performance. A perennial in warm enough climates; treated as an annual in most American gardens. Plant in well-drained soil in full sun. Once established for the season, it will tolerate temporary periods of drought. -- edited by dtd pbcouchman
