description for "Amaryllis: Hippeastrum 'Desert Dawn'"

'Desert Dawn' will brighten up any room (and the heart of any gardener!) with its warm, salmon-hued flowers. This single-flowered amaryllis is one of the increasingly popular African strain that produces huge, beautiful flowers on shorter, sturdier stems. Once potted, amaryllis bulbs begin blooming in 4 to 6 weeks. Each bulb produces one or two stems which are topped with up to 8 flowers. The size of the bulb you buy counts! -- edited by dtd pbcouchman
