description for "Peach and Nectarine: Prunus persica 'Com-Pact Redhaven'"

'Com-pact Redhaven' is the world's most widely planted peach. No wonder -- it's heavy-bearing, cold-hardy, resists leaf spot and the fruit is spectacular. Best of all, you'll enjoy bushels of big, luscious peaches that have an almost fuzzless skin over firm, creamy flesh. Fruit is medium to large in size and is just right for fresh snacks, canning or freezing. These trees are hardy and grow well in northern and central areas of Zones 5 to 8. Fruit ripens late July in Zone 5. -- edited by dtd pbcouchman
