description for "Plum: Prunus domestica 'Starking Delicious'"

'Starking Delicious' dwarf plum is the best plum we know of, and it's the most consistently heavy bearer of rich dessert plums. Not only is the red-flesh fruit abundant and luscious, the tree is disease resistant, too. Delicious is a clingstone and extra-large if you remember to thin to at least 4 inches between plums. Plant with 'Redheart,' 'Ozark Premier' or 'Shiro' for pollination. Harvest early August in Zone 5. -- edited by dtd pbcouchman
