description for "Scented Geraniums: Pelargonium 'Chocolate Peppermint'"

This is a different species than 'Chocolate Mint'; this one has grey/green leaves with a chocolate-colored splash, and grows more upright. It has pink flowers and the same chocolate mint fragrance. For a "Dessert Garden," try a 36" diameter planter with a single 'Chocolate Peppermint' scented geranium in the center, and three 'Chocolate Mints' planted around the perimeter! Tender perennial. Overwinters outdoors in zones 8-10; should be potted and brought indoors in mid-autumn in colder climates. Plant in full sun in well-drained soil. -- edited by dtd pbcouchman
