description for "Amaryllis: Hippeastrum 'Pasadena'"

'Pasadena' is a gorgeous red with white blooms. Brighten up the short days of winter by planting a series of amaryllis bulbs to bloom one after the other. These easy-to-grow bulbs make a great holiday planting project because almost anyone can grow them. Just drop a bulb into a clay pot filled with potting soil, place in a sunny window, and water. In just six to eight weeks you'll be rewarded with a harvest of colorful blooms atop two or three flower stalks. -- edited by dtd pbcouchman
