description for "Verbenas: Verbena 'Quartz Burgundy'"

1999 All-America Selection. Unique color and large flower umbels set this verbena apart. Flowers of velvety deep wine red, with a small white eye, are produced continuously throughout the summer. Mounded plants, 8 to 12 inches tall, have excellent tolerance to powdery mildew. This full sun annual adapts well to containers. Awarded both 1999 All-America honors and a Fleuroselect Gold Medal. --edited by dtd siegelgirl
