description for "Cosmos: Cosmos bipinnatus 'Harmony'"

'Harmony' begins blooming several weeks earlier than other cosmos varieties, with silky petaled flowers that dance non-stop in graceful profusion above lacy foliage. The strong-stemmed plants bear dozens of 3-inch flowers to grace the garden in a lovely medley of soft satin pink, deep rich rose and pure snow white. Tough and drought tolerant, 'Harmony' cosmos will adorn your garden with masses of color and provide bouquets that seem to arrange themselves. Plant in full sun with adequate drainage. -- edited by dtd pbcouchman

History:

Cosmos bipinnatus is native to southwestern United States, Mexico and South America.
