'Purple Passion' asparagus originates from a green-purple variety found in southern Europe, 'Purple Passion' is not like other asparagus. It has a deep burgundy color and is sweeter than common green asparagus with 20 percent more sugar. So tender it can be served raw as a garnish on salads. Unique, mild, nutty flavor when cooked.
