description for "Amaryllis: Hippeastrum 'Royal Velvet'"

'Royal Velvet' Amaryllis earns its name with the luxurious, rich, red velvet blooms it produces. You won't wait long for an appointment with this royalty. The bulbs bloom 6 to 8 weeks after potting. A clay pot, potting soil, good sun and water is all that's needed. Amaryllis produce one to two 20-inch tall stalks topped with three and four large 6-to-8-inch trumpet blooms. -- edited by pbcouchman
