description for "Apples: Malus domestica 'Enterprise'"

'Enterprise' is the best of the new, improved, disease-resistant apples. This premium quality large, round, red apple is firm and crisp. You'll love its rich, spicy aroma and mild tartness. And best of all it's extremely resistant to apple scab, cedar apple rust and fire blight, while moderately resistant to powdery mildew. Fruit keeps 5 to 6 months if refrigerated. Pollinate with 'GoldRush,' 'Stark Royal Gala' or 'Starkspur Golden Delicious.' Harvest in mid-to-late October in Zone 5. -- edited by dtd pbcouchman

History:

'Enterprise' originated at Purdue University under the PRI Program. U.S. Plant Patent No. 9193.
