The Tuesday Cut: Week 2
by Cliff Sharples (chief cultivator)
Making the cut in my garden takes on a new meaning. I will make an arrangement from things I've grown once a week for a year, and post it every Tuesday... take the challenge and join me with your own weekly arrangement!
We make a lot of arrangements in our lives - personal, professional, botanical... As a gardener, I'm always experimenting with companion plants, landscape balance and general Zen combos that make everything else in the world OK. But, I'm a beginner, and more often than not, I don't get it right in nature. But, with a pair of sheers and a vase, I can get a re-do and bring the garden inside.

The iris blooms are crazy good this year. The alliums have multiplied. The hostas are easily 40% larger this year. While it's always hard to cut down amazing blooms, I'm pretty psyched about this week's arrangement!
