Amaryllis in May!

by Cliff Sharples (chief cultivator)

So, being a disorganized spaz isn't always bad!

I'm a compulsive plant and bulb buyer... I admit it. Last fall, I placed my annual amaryllis bulb order (we like them lots) and as usual, bought too many. With promises to my wife that I'd plant the extra ones right after the holidays, I stuck a few bulbs on a shelf in the garage, and promptly forgot about them.

A few months later, as I was rummaging around looking for a tool, a paper bag of amaryllis bulbs fell on the floor. So, I planted them, and voila...

Amaryllis, blooms, cut flowers
