How long does it take to grow?

  • Cool Climates: sow outdoors one month before last frost (usually around March) for fall crops (September-November)- should be around 60 days to maturity.
  • Mild Climates: Sow outdoors in the fall for winter crops or late winter for spring crops. - should be around 60 days to maturity

When should I harvest it?

  • When the round part of the plant is 2"-3" wide.  Do not let it get too much bigger than that or it will be too tough to eat.

Eat it!

  • You can eat the leaves of this plant as well!  Use them in salads, or stir frys.
